She Believes in Magic

I watched as she,
Attempted to explain,
That magic is real,
We merely forgot how to wield it,
The scientist looked at her,
With doubt in his eyes,
And something like derision,
Like she was so far beneath him,
For believing such a thing,
And yet: this did not trouble her,
For in fact,
It was he who did not understand.
