Apocalypse of Los Pelos

Los Pelos–that city that shimmers with sequins and spotlights. A red carpet is unfurled at the same time as another is rolled up and stored away. The people that pass by are tourists that came here looking for something they will not find; they came here looking for magic.

There is no magic here but a trick of the light. All this glitz and glamour so easily reduced to nothing but a series of mirrors reflecting each other to eternity. The low streets bustle with unsatiable desperation.

The Holy Wood sign overlooks the city; nearby is a vast Spanish-revival style mansion owned by a commune of vampire-worshipping executives.

In Los Pelos, the end sounds like a camera flash.

Explanation:

An allegory for aspects of the entertainment industry being insincere at best and blood-thirsty at worst.

Trivia:

One of the vampires in Los Pelos works at an old folk’s home where he drinks their blood in order to experience the narcotic effects of their medications.
